Governor Jim Justice announced his plan today (Thursday, December 16) to award pay raises for state employees, and add a one-time bonus he calls “Inflatocine.”
He wants to give employees a 5 percent raise, and then add a bonus that he describes as an average 2.5 percent. “Basically, it is an inflation vaccine,” he said. “We’re going to do as a one-time supplement to help them get through the situations they’re in today.”
