The governor is facing a huge hole in the state budget, caused by the “Stay at Home” order brought on by the coronavirus pandemic. He says the state has received money from the federal government, but rules attached to that money do not allow for that money to be used to “backfill” budgets. But Justice is optimistic that the state ultimately will fill that gap without laying off or furloughing state employees.
