We are electing delegates on September 26 to our upcoming state convention, which is being held the weekend of October 14-16. The convention will be held at our Union Hall in Charleston, near the State Capitol. This will be a single election, held on Zoom.
Prospective delegates must be an active member in good standing. If you have not rejoined since the end of payroll dues deductions, you can easily rejoin — contact the UE Local 170 office for more details.
This will be an important convention in the future of this union, both short- and long-term. We have suffered twin setbacks — first, the pandemic and second, the Legislature and Governor ending payroll dues deductions. We will need good delegates to this convention, and good officer candidates as well.
