With hours left in the 2019-2020 budget year Tuesday, Gov. Jim Justice announced his moves to make up a COVID-19 related budget short, as required by law.
He was able to balance the books without laying off state workers, as he promised during the Stay-At-Home order.
Most of a $255 million shortfall, $186 million, came from unspent DHHR appropriations. Full story here.
