Auditor: Payroll will not be interrupted

The company that helps the state administer its payroll, has been hit by a ransomware attack.

State Auditor J.B. McCuskey says the state is making backup plans in case that company, UKG, is hampered by the attack. UKG primarily keeps track of timesheets and leave balances in many agencies, with some exceptions — the DOH is a big one.

Checks for Friday, December 17, have been processed. Payroll administrators are working toward processing time for the December 31 checks.
