2020 John Hovis Scholarship Application Final
Dear Members,
I am pleased to announce the open enrollment for the 8th Annual John Hovis Scholarship Award, sponsored by UE Local 170, West Virginia Public Workers Union. A scholarship in the amount of $1,000 will be awarded at our state convention on September 26, 2020 at Oglebay Park in Wheeling, WV.
Requirements for consideration are that the student be the child or grandchild of a UE Local 170 union member and a senior in high school. The student shall be a current resident of West Virginia and have a minimum GPA of 3.00 and 18 on the ACT or 1300-1330 on the SAT.
