Members' Bill of Rights

 Any dues-paying UE member regardless of job, age, sex, nationality, race, creed, religious, or political beliefs has the right to:

  • Speak out and have their opinions respected in any union membership meeting.
  • Hold any local or chapter union officers' position.
  • Vote in the election of local, regional and national officers or for constitutional changes and the setting of union policy.
  • Speak out and vote on any agreement or understanding with the employer which sets wage rates, benefits, or conditions of work.
  • Access to a full accounting of the spending of the union funds.
